Eventually the two-week JC immersion program ended. This is totally a different experience for me. I went to Hwa Chong and my buddy is Lilan. She was born in Hunan, China. Now she is a Singaporean. We have had a wonderful time together. I’ve found two main differences between the school life in Singapore and China. One is that the students have morning assembly and pledge as a citizen every day. This impressed me a lot. When standing on the playground, a feeling of holiness appears in my mind. The other one is that the JC students have lessons in lectures and tutorials. I think giving this is an efficient way of teaching. Students can learn new topics in lectures, then in tutorials, they have tutors to solve their doubts and questions. The enthusiasm of the students also impressed me a lot. All of them are very active and friendly. The first day when I met them, all of them were smiling at me. I really enjoyed the time spent with them very much.
Though two weeks is a short period of time, I have learnt a lot about the educational system here. I would take this wonderful experience with me whenever I go.
